Therapharm: How the
Company was Born
As a Contract Research Organization (CRO),
Therapharm Research became a major partner of the French Pharmaceutical
Industry in 1980, when the Clinical Unit opened in France;

The Outsourcing
Department was born as a new development of an unceasingly
growing Company in order to better meet Clients' requirements;

Drastic changes occurred in three
successive steps:

- Therapharm took a gamble
on the move to Caen (Normandy, France) of the Clinical Unit
and teams in order to better meet Clients' requirements;

- Therapharm
offered a wider range of services involving Phase-I studies
in healthy Japanese and Caucasian volunteers;

- Therapharm created an
in-house Data Management & Biostatistics Department in order to
offer a full range of Clinical Research & Development services;

| 1995 |
Therapharm
joined the Health Division of the Cider Group as a result of a
development strategy initiated by Antoine Cournot.
Quoted on the Second Marked of the Stock Exchange, the Cider Group was
the leader of externalized pharmaceutical services in both France and
English-speaking African countries.
